We’re the best choice.

Tribe Trails and Adventures was formed out of a passion for adventure and a love for hiking. My journey started 10 years ago, when I, curiously, stumbled into a small classroom at Secondary School, and joined the Duke of Edinburgh International Award. The Award is a youth-based organization with a large focus on extra-curricular education, striving to nurture the naturally curious and outgoing nature of young people. Through many adventures, laughs, struggles and, most of all, fun, I learned many of the trails in Barbados.

I went on to reach the pinnacle of achievement in the program, attaining the Gold Award and meeting some of the British Royalty. Thanks to my participation and success in through the program, I have been fortunate to trek to the tops of Grenada and Trinidad, as both a participant and a Leader In Training. I then continued to train multiple contingents of leaders and participants who represented Barbados in Guyana, The Bahamas and St Lucia. I was ultimately selected, in 2020, to lead a group of 10 Gold Award candidates, who aimed to conquer the Blue Mountains. These experiences have allowed me to broaden my knowledge and love of hiking, in addition to developing my skills in managing large groups across diverse trails. I have been able to use all that I have learned and enjoyed to plan and deliver different opportunities, to a wide range of adventurers.

I have learned, first hand, of the importance of safety and have ensured that I, and the team, are fully conversant and up to date with the latest established best practice, among other international safety standards. We always ensure appropriate risk assessments are undertaken to maintain the continued safety for all of our clients, regardless of their hiking experience.
