This circuit is a short 5km loop that starts and ends at the popular Barclays Park and is a challenging venture. This trail takes hikers up a steep incline, through gullies and across forested areas to ultimately summit on top of the “sleeping giant”.
At the summit, there resides the Keith Laurie cross that boasts intense views where one can easily see as far as Cove Bay St. Lucy in the north and Consett bay towards the south. After marvelling at the views, there are further photo opportunities at the popular “Eye of Barbados” that sits just below the cross.
